It’s summer. The drive is to be outside not at the piano but work through it! For the past couple of weeks I’ve been spending my time going through Southern Gospel Piano Course DVD from Roger Bennett . I spend a few minutes in the evening working though his tips much to the enjoyment of my three year old.
I’m learning a lot about how to do some self studying when you have little time to spare. If you’ve found yourself struggling to work through a teaching DVD try breaking it down into very small pieces. The beauty of tapes and DVDs is you can rewind. Grab that first bit of instruction your video teacher gives you and go over it until you get it right and them move on to the next one. Yes it could take quite a long time but the results are so worth it.
