About

My name is K Quinn and I started on the path of piano playing many years ago in high school where I took a beginning class. Then the music lessons were put aside until late in my 20’s I was given the gift of a keyboard. I had always wanted to play the piano but never seemed to be settled long enough in one place to partake of lessons. I purchased a book on beginning piano playing and learned a bit but I knew I was missing much. I found a wonderful piano teacher that the Lord led me to and took lessons for 5 years. Due to life changes (kids) we had to discontinue piano lessons but the foundation was laid. I continue to study and practice in my spare time.

How does all this fit into my playing in church? Within a few months of receiving the keyboard I was asked to start playing piano for our small church . And so it began. It’s been fun and challenging and I have been playing ever since. I also picked up the guitar several years ago to accompany the Sunday School. The Lord, in all His goodness, has led me to play chord piano, and the Lord is never wrong.

This website is an ongoing collection of some tools I have, wish I had, and think others might benefit from. I’m also slowly adding my own tools that I have created to use with some piano students I’ve picked up over the years. I don’t pretend to be a great player or even to know half of what there is to know about piano playing but I’ve been at the beginning and I know there are others who are where I was at. This site is for the beginner who might not know where to start.

What I have put together here is certainly not exhaustive. It’s resources I land upon or people bring to my attention. There are affiliate links here and there for books and videos. All funds, except the little (it doesn’t cost much) it takes to keep the site up, are completely put in the offering plate on Sunday.

This is a work for the Glory of God.

I pray it will be a blessing to you.

K Quinn

Disclosure

From time to time I accept and keep free music products to review from companies and organizations. Even though I am being compensated I give an honest review of what I have seen.  I tell who I feel the product would be best for and how I went about using.

Also more often than being asked to do reviews for compensation I do reviews on products I have already purchased thought it a good product and worthwhile to promote it through affiliate links and sometimes without. There are many products I have tried you will not see here because if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all.

All funds (except the little it takes to keep the site hosted) are tithed to the work of God

Many of the banner ads on the side are affiliate banners. And some are those little widgety things when you join those topsite etc.
